Verão * Summertime

Sento-me na varanda para escrever e imediatamente as andorinhas fixam a minha atenção. O vale brilha com o sol da manhã e eu deixo-me enredar na dança encantatória dos seus voos. Círculos perfeitos, rápidos e rasantes, subidas, descidas, sozinhas e aos pares as andorinhas cruzam o céu da encosta. As asas negras, o peito branco, a perícia e delicadeza do seu voo suspende-me o olhar e o meu corpo acompanha o seu vai-vem num balanço interno que me tranquiliza. Regresso ao papel onde deveria estar a escrever, é Verão e tudo é feito devagar. Acabei ontem um conjunto de desenhos para um livro que irá sair depois do Verão, tenho também andado ocupada a transformar o meu site num espaço de trabalho mais prático e funcional. Nos intervalos do trabalho descanso ou nos intervalos do descanso trabalho, estou indecisa… está demasiado calor e vive-se mais devagar nesta época. Até Setembro continuarei a celebrar a lentidão ao som das cigarras e no dia 5 de Setembro estarei de volta com a primeira newsletter.

I sit on the balcony to write and immediately my attention is caught by the swallows. The valley shines with the morning sun and I follow the enchanting dance of the their flight. Perfect circles, fast and grazing, up, down, alone, in pairs they crossed the hillside sky. Black wings, white chest, the skill and delicacy of their flights hold my gaze and my body follows their "comings and goings” in an internal balance that comforts me. My eyes return to the paper where I should be writing, It’s summertime and everything moves slowly. Yesterday, I finished a set of drawings to a book that will be released after the summer and I’ve been busy with the transformation of my Website into a space more practical and functional to work. I rest during breaks from working or work during breaks from resting, I’m indecisive… it’s too hot, we live slower. Until September I will continue to embrace an celebrate the slowness to the sound of cicadas and September 5th I’ll be back with the first newsletter.
