That makes me really happy! for me remember others to take notice, besides being my way to express it's my purpose for sharing.

Our houses have a lot of humidity, and seeds like sow thistle are very resilient and

they are able to survive and grow with the moisture from the water and moss, and the sun, which is also plentiful here. And since the seeds are scattered by the wind, these nooks and crannies on the eaves, roofs, and windowsills are likely breeding grounds for them, which is what happened with the sow thistle on our window.

At the bus stop where I catch the bus, the shelter has a small garden for the same reason 😊

This is a replay to a comment from Ashley Honeysett that I deleted by mistake and I’m reposting it here:

“I was thinking about your sow-thistle. First, because when I visited Lisbon ten years ago, I saw small trees growing on people's upper-story windowsills. They did not look like anyone had planted them on purpose. They looked like they were growing there as weeds and had been allowed to stay. I was trying to find pictures but it seems I didn't take any. Then I went with my family to Death Valley National Park, and thought of your post again when I saw cacti and hardy plants growing on stony cliff-faces. Thank you for making me think about these things more than usual.”
